Democratic Party: "'Daemang-ron' Is Not a Theory of Great Expectations, But a Theory of Great Ruin"
On April 27, the Democratic Party of Korea criticized the People Power Party, which has recently been discussing the possibility of unifying its presidential candidate with Han Ducksoo, the Prime Minister and Acting President, saying, "Are you dreaming of a 'Yoon Sukyeol Season 2'?" and calling it "an insult to the people."
In a written briefing on the same day, spokesperson Hwang Jeonga stated, "People Power Party lawmakers have fueled speculation about recruiting Acting President Han, and now even candidates Kim Moonsu, Hong Junpyo, and Han Donghoon are all seeking him out," adding, "Is the People Power Party sending love calls to Acting President Han because they are dreaming of a 'Yoon Sukyeol Season 2'?"
She continued, "It is appalling to see the People Power Party embracing forces responsible for ruining the Republic of Korea and attempting to drag the people into the mire of rebellion," and asserted, "The public will hold the People Power Party, a party that not only refuses to break away from such forces but also stands with a 'rebellion prime minister' and a 'rebellion acting president,' accountable."

The Democratic Party also dismissed the so-called 'Han Ducksoo Daemang-ron' (the theory of great expectations for Han Ducksoo) as 'Daemang-ron' (a theory of great ruin). Spokesperson Park Kyungmi, in a written briefing on the same day, said, "The public harbors doubts about Acting President Han's memory," pointing out that Acting President Han failed to appoint Ma Eunhyeok as Constitutional Court Justice last December, but then appointed Justice Ma on April 8 and nominated Lee Wankyu and Ham Sanghoon as Constitutional Court Justice candidates.
Spokesperson Park further stated, "He has thrown his own words from just 100 days ago into the air," and emphasized, "Unlike Acting President Han, who buries unnecessary matters in oblivion and remembers only what he chooses, the public's memory and judgment are exceptional."
She also added, "It would be only natural for him to quietly await trial after fulfilling his duties as acting president until the end," warning, "If he goes against what is right, he will face the harsh judgment of the people as soon as he announces his candidacy."
