Samsung Holds First-Half GSAT for 16 Affiliates

Marking the 30th Anniversary of the GSAT Introduction This Year

Samsung announced on the 27th that it conducted the Samsung Job Aptitude Test (GSAT) for job applicants over two days starting from the 26th.

A total of 16 affiliates, including Samsung Electronics, Samsung Display, Samsung Electro-Mechanics, Samsung SDI, Samsung SDS, Samsung Biologics, Samsung Bioepis, Samsung C&T, Samsung Heavy Industries, Samsung E&A, Samsung Life Insurance, Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance, Samsung Securities, Cheil Worldwide, S-1, and Samsung Welstory, administered the GSAT.

Samsung began its first-half open recruitment process in March, starting with the acceptance of applications. After the GSAT, new employees will be finally selected through interviews and health checkups. It is known that this year's GSAT included questions related to Samsung's key businesses, such as artificial intelligence (AI), semiconductors, smartphones, and bio.

The GSAT is a test designed to select candidates with comprehensive thinking skills and flexible problem-solving abilities. It was first introduced in the second half of 1995 for entry-level recruitment, marking its 30th anniversary this year. Since 2020, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the exam has been conducted online. Applicants can take the test using a PC in an independent location.
