Park Dongjin, head of Masanhappo District Office in South Gyeongsang Province, inspected the demolition site of the produce market building, which was left with only its frame after a fire in September last year, and emphasized the importance of safety.

According to the district office on April 27, despite repeatedly urging the building owner to ensure the safety and management of the structure after the fire at the produce market, only a demolition report was filed in 2024 without any actual demolition work, causing continued inconvenience for merchants.

In response, the district office held a meeting to request the building owner to proceed with demolition and continued to encourage safety management. As a result, demolition began on April 23 and is currently being finalized.

Park stated, "The Masan produce market is one of our city's representative traditional markets. Not only merchants but also many citizens use this market, so I will ensure that the demolition is completed safely."
