Shinsegae Department Store Hosts Exclusive Peanuts 75th Anniversary Pop-up Store

Shinsegae Department Store announced on April 27 that it will exclusively host a pop-up store event celebrating the 75th anniversary of the globally popular comic "Peanuts."

First, the pop-up store will be held at the Open Stage on the first floor of the Gangnam branch until June 6. After that, it will be introduced consecutively at the Centum City and Daegu branches. Snoopy is a dog character that first appeared in the four-panel comic Peanuts in the United States in 1950. Alongside the boy protagonist Charlie Brown, Snoopy has long been a beloved and enduring character.

This year marks the 75th anniversary of the creation of Peanuts, and both the pop-up store and related merchandise will be available exclusively at Shinsegae Department Store. At the Open Stage pop-up store, visitors can see a large Snoopy figure. The space is designed to recreate scenes from the comic, allowing visitors to take photos as if they have become characters in the story. At the adjacent Open Stage Store, customers can purchase a variety of items, including Peanuts 75th anniversary commemorative goods. On the 11th floor S Garden of the Gangnam branch, a photo zone replicating the appearance of characters from the comic will be set up until June 1.

From May 3 to May 5, customers who add Shinsegae Department Store Gangnam branch as a KakaoTalk friend and download a Lucky Box event ticket can participate in the Lucky Box event at the 11th floor S Garden. Prizes include a Poovilla doll, cushions, Peanuts pouches, and ballpoint pens. In addition, various coupons can be downloaded and used through the Shinsegae Department Store application (app). Shinsegae Members who make purchases of 50,000 won or more at the Peanuts pop-up store using a Shinsegae-affiliated card will also receive a 3,000-won discount coupon.
