Actress Gwyneth Paltrow, who previously sparked controversy by revealing that she ate a diet consisting only of vegetables and bone broth while completely excluding all processed foods, has now switched to a more balanced diet.
According to reports from the BBC and People magazine on the 24th (local time), Paltrow recently stated on the podcast of her wellness brand 'Goop' that "My husband and I have been following the paleo diet for several years, but to be honest, we got a little tired of it, and we've started eating a bit of sourdough bread and cheese again."
The 'paleo diet' is a way of eating that follows the dietary habits of prehistoric humans, focusing mainly on consuming fresh, unprocessed foods that are rich in protein and dietary fiber.
Paltrow said she still tries to eat "the freshest food in its most natural form possible" to address "chronic inflammation" and "health" issues, but admitted that at first she was excessively obsessed with dietary restrictions.
She reflected that after her father passed away from cancer in 2002 and had not paid attention to his diet, this may have influenced her own obsession with food. For a while, she became immersed in an extreme 'macrobiotic' diet and was fixated on eating extremely healthily.
Gwyneth Paltrow made her acting debut in 1989 in the film "High," directed by her father, and later gained fame through works such as "Shakespeare in Love," for which she won the Academy Award for Best Actress. Since then, she has continued her acting career, including playing Pepper Potts, the secretary and love interest of Iron Man, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since 2008.
