Sinan Police Station and Office of Education Sign Agreement to Prevent School Violence

"Close Cooperation to Create a Safe Educational Environment"

Sinan Police Station in South Jeolla Province (Chief Lee Hyunjun) announced on April 25 that it had signed a business agreement with the Sinan Office of Education (Superintendent Park Euna) at Sinan Gageo Elementary School to strengthen activities for the prevention of school violence and the protection of youth.

This agreement was promoted to establish a close cooperation system between the two organizations and to jointly respond in order to create a safe educational environment free from school violence.

Starting from Gageodo, the southernmost island of Sinan County, the police and education office either visited all 37 elementary, middle, and high schools in the region in person or utilized video education systems to provide school violence prevention education, ensuring that students can enjoy a safe school life.

They also plan to consistently conduct safety inspections both inside and outside schools, including checking for illegal cameras in school faculty housing and nearby public areas, as well as inspecting the operation of emergency bells. These proactive crime prevention activities aim to ensure that both teachers and students are safe from crime.

Chief Lee Hyunjun stated, "It takes a whole village to raise a child," and added, "We expect that cooperation between the police and the Office of Education will lead to practical effects in preventing school violence, allowing students to have a safe school life."
