Musicals, Bubble Show, and More to Be Held
On April 25, Nonsan City in South Chungcheong Province announced that it will host a variety of children's cultural performances at the Nonsan Art Center and the National Sports Center from May 1 to May 3 in celebration of Children's Week.
This event is an extension of the "Children's Week Event," which began last year as part of the province's first "child-centered" policy in South Chungcheong. It was organized to improve local conditions lacking in cultural and artistic infrastructure and to expand opportunities for citizens to enjoy cultural experiences.
Main programs include a ceremony commemorating Children's Day, the EBS children's musical "Ebenjers," MC Sunho's bubble show, and the children's musical "Alsatang," among other diverse performances.
The city strengthened advance publicity in cooperation with the Nonsan Gyeryong Office of Education, the Association of Daycare Centers, local children's centers, child care facilities, and the Youth and Young Adult Foundation. In addition, priority viewing opportunities were provided to children in culturally underserved areas and children from socially disadvantaged backgrounds in towns and villages.
The city also recruited group audiences from daycare centers, kindergartens, and schools, while individual reservations were accepted through the Nonsan Youth and Young Adult Foundation.
Currently, all performances except for the bubble show scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on May 2 are sold out.
Mayor Baek Seonghyeon stated, "I hope this will be an opportunity for children to create joyful memories with their families during Family Month," adding, "We will continue to pursue policies that reflect the opinions of children and parents in the future."
