Icheon City to Boost Local Tourism with Icheon Ceramic Festival

The city stated on April 25 that it will operate a tourism promotion booth under the theme "Icheon Travel, Shaping a Special Day" at the Icheon Ceramic Art Village (Yes Park), where the Icheon Ceramic Festival is being held, from April 26 until the festival's closing day on May 6.

The tourism promotion booth will serve as a comprehensive information space designed to introduce the city's major tourist attractions and public-private tourism networks, while providing visitors with a variety of sights and experiences. To maximize promotional effectiveness, the city will not only distribute promotional leaflets but also offer interactive content such as a coloring activity using the Icheon city character and a pilot mobile stamp tour.

The city will also operate a special city tour program, "Ride the Icheon City Tour and Go! Go! to the Ceramic Festival," until May 4, in order to link the festival with local tourism.

The city tour will be held a total of six times: from April 25 to 27, and from May 2 to 4. During these periods, the tour bus will depart from Icheon Station at 10:30 a.m. and connect various local tourist destinations, including the Icheon Ceramic Art Village, where the festival is held, and Sagimakgol Ceramic Village.

The tours from April 25 to 27 are designed to include both the festival venue and Tea House Eden, a famous cafe located in Mok-ri, Majang-myeon. The tours from May 2 to 4 are organized with families in mind, featuring an itinerary that includes both the festival venue and Deokpyeong Dinosaur Arboretum.

Kim Kyunghee, Mayor of Icheon, said, "We have prepared a variety of programs to introduce visitors to the Icheon Ceramic Festival to the city's diverse tourist attractions," adding, "We will vitalize Icheon's outstanding tourism resources and make Icheon an attractive tourism city."
