On the 23rd (local time), Kia held an opening ceremony for the IT education center in Benguerirville, C?te d'Ivoire, attended by Moussa Dialassouba, Chief of Staff at the Ministry of Women, Family and Children of C?te d'Ivoire; Broba Bi Daniel, Deputy Mayor of Benguerirville; Jun Sujin, Consul at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in C?te d'Ivoire; and Lee Eunju, Head of Kia's Sustainability Management Team.

C?te d'Ivoire faces a serious youth unemployment problem, and many young people are unable to use computers due to poor IT education environments and infrastructure.

In response, Kia has established an IT education center within Orphelina National School in Benguerirville and will operate IT education programs for young people in C?te d'Ivoire until June 2027. The program consists of a total six-month course, including four months of basic education and two months of specialized training, covering the use of programs such as internet, Word, and Excel. In addition, training for employment and entrepreneurship will also be provided.

Kia will also offer 'mobile IT education' for young people in the mountainous Betie region of C?te d'Ivoire by providing a Sportage vehicle.

The Green Light Project is Kia's social contribution activity that provides a variety of programs and infrastructure for economic, educational, health, and environmental growth and self-reliance in local communities. Since launching the Green Light Project in 2012, Kia has been engaged in social contribution activities by operating schools, health centers, and vocational training centers in 15 countries across Africa, Eastern Europe, and Asia, including Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Albania, and Vietnam.

A Kia representative stated, "The Green Light Project is helping local communities grow through infrastructure development and activities to strengthen self-reliance capabilities," adding, "Kia will continue to demonstrate its commitment to the sustainable growth of future generations not only through the Green Light Project but also through a variety of other initiatives."
