"Assistants for the Preventive Management of National Heritage"
The National Heritage Administration announced on April 25 that it has appointed and is operating seven National Heritage Care Specialists to systematically preserve and manage national heritage.
The National Heritage Care program is a continuous preventive management initiative that regularly inspects the condition of national heritage through regional cultural heritage care centers. It is funded by lottery proceeds.
The National Heritage Care Specialist system is promoted as a social contribution project for retired public officials by the Ministry of Personnel Management. It is expected that their extensive work experience and field knowledge will enhance the efficiency of national heritage preservation and management.
An official from the National Heritage Administration explained, "The specialists will focus on inspecting the condition of national heritage in their designated regions and will act as preventive management advisors by proposing management plans tailored to the characteristics of each heritage site to the regional care centers."
