[Tomorrow's Weather] Cold Northwestern Winds Move In Tonight... Morning Temperatures Drop Sharply in Some Inland Areas Tomorrow

Morning Lows of 3 to 10 Degrees, Highs of 16 to 20 Degrees
Near 0 Degrees in Inland and Mountainous Areas of Gangwon

From the night of the 24th, cold air will move in from the northwest, causing temperatures on the 25th to drop somewhat from the higher-than-average levels. On the 25th, the morning low is expected to range from 3 to 10 degrees Celsius, and the daytime high from 16 to 20 degrees Celsius. These temperatures are similar to the average for this time of year (morning low of 5 to 11 degrees, daytime high of 18 to 22 degrees).

[Tomorrow's Weather] Cold Northwestern Winds Move In Tonight... Morning Temperatures Drop Sharply in Some Inland Areas Tomorrow On the 26th, as daytime temperatures rose across the country including Seoul, bringing warm weather, many people came out to enjoy a walk at Gwanghwamun Square in Jongno-gu, Seoul. 2025.2.26 Photo by Jo Yongjun

The expected minimum and maximum temperatures for major cities are as follows: Seoul 7 and 18 degrees, Incheon 9 and 16 degrees, Daejeon 6 and 19 degrees, Gwangju 8 and 20 degrees, Daegu 9 and 20 degrees, Ulsan 9 and 19 degrees, and Busan 10 and 19 degrees. In the inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon, the morning temperature on the 25th will be 5 to 8 degrees lower than on the 24th.

In addition to the inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon, northern and eastern Gyeonggi, Chungbuk, eastern Jeonbuk, and northern inland Gyeongbuk will also see morning temperatures drop to around 0 degrees on the mornings of the 25th and 26th. Frost and ice may form, and cold damage could occur, so precautions are advised.

On the 25th, fine dust (PM10) concentrations nationwide are expected to be at a 'moderate' level. However, as yellow dust currently occurring in northeastern China is carried in by northwesterly winds, PM10 concentrations in some areas may rise on the 25th.

On the 25th, strong winds with instantaneous speeds of 55 km/h or more (70 km/h or more in mountainous areas) will blow across the country. In most regions, winds will subside after the 25th, but strong winds will continue for the time being in Yeongdong, Gangwon, the northeastern mountainous areas of Gyeongbuk, and the east coast of Gyeongbuk.

With clear weather continuing and westerly winds blowing, the air is becoming dry, especially east of the Baekdudaegan mountain range. Combined with strong winds, this increases the risk of large fires such as wildfires, so caution is needed.
