282 Units Supplied at Remarkville Eastpole
Custom Storage and Lounge Spaces for Single-Person Households
Goal to Supply 3,000 Units by 2030
"The temperature in this room is 21 degrees Celsius. The heater is currently on."
On April 24, at 'Remarkville Eastpole' in Jayang-dong, Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, when I asked the set-top box on the bedside table about the room temperature, it answered immediately. When I asked it to "turn off the living room lights," the lights switched off automatically. It is also possible to call the elevator using only your voice, without pressing any buttons.

Remarkville Eastpole is a corporate rental housing complex introduced by KT Estate, a real estate specialist firm. After starting in Dongdaemun in 2016, this is the seventh complex. The building has 282 units, with eight different types ranging in exclusive area from 22.46 square meters (6.79 pyeong) to 47.08 square meters (14.24 pyeong). It is located between the 8th and 20th floors of the Eastpole mixed-use complex.
System Control with AICT Technology...Community Facilities Tailored for Single-Person Households
Remarkville Eastpole targets young single-person households, especially office workers who commute to Seongsu IT Valley and the Gangnam business district. The complex focuses on enhancing residential management convenience by utilizing AICT, a combination of artificial intelligence (AI) and ICT. Voice recognition and control functions are included, and KT's smart integrated control platform has been applied to strengthen security.
Considering that small units may lack storage space, the layout was designed for efficiency. In some unit types, opening the wall-mounted wardrobe reveals a corner closet as wide as both arms. A refrigerator, induction cooktop, washing machine, and dryer are all included as standard options.
The common facilities reflect the tastes of residents in their 20s and 30s. There are spaces for relaxation or exercise, workspaces, and a ceiling terrace. Cultural programs for residents are also planned in the future. Residents can also enjoy a lifestyle infrastructure where cultural spaces, commercial areas, and public offices are all located together. Around 110 retail businesses, including large supermarkets and movie theaters, are scheduled to open. A hotel will be located on the upper floors.

"High-End Rentals, There Is Demand"...3,000 Units to Be Supplied by 2030
KT Estate has set a plan to supply around 3,000 rental housing units from this year through 2030, starting with Remarkville Eastpole. This year, a new complex will open in Dangsan, Yeongdeungpo; in 2026 and 2027, new sites will be established in Mapo and Yeouido. By 2030, the target area is Suseo. The company is increasing supply because it believes the housing rental market is changing.
The preference for monthly rent has become more pronounced due to the burden of raising large deposits and concerns about rental fraud. The company also expects the number of people seeking community facilities to increase. KT Estate stated, "Rental housing is less sensitive to economic fluctuations, making it possible to generate stable long-term profits. Whereas we previously focused on the 'mass market' of general studio-type housing, we are now looking at the high-end rental market."
All units are leased under monthly rent contracts, with monthly rents ranging from the 900,000 won range to the mid-2,000,000 won range. The deposit is either 10,000,000 won or 20,000,000 won, depending on the unit type. Move-ins begin this month.
