On April 24, Hwaseong City announced that it will present the "New Luna Show" at Dongtan Lake Park on two occasions: May 3 and May 5.
The Dongtan Lake Park Luna Show is a multimedia performance that showcases spectacular and dynamic water displays using "The Luna," a 15-meter-diameter architectural installation set on the lake, a fountain measuring 60 meters high and 200 meters wide, special lighting, lasers, and beam projectors.
The "New Luna Show" is the fourth installment in the Luna series, following the 2019 "Luna Show," the 2022 "Olfu Show," and the 2023 "Tobo Show."
In the "New Luna Show," the story features returning characters Luna, Olfu, and Tobo, as well as the city mascot Coriyo, who makes a new appearance to help the friends embark on a journey to find their dreams.
This year, the Luna Fountain and Musical Fountain will operate from May 3 to October 31. During this period, the Luna Fountain will be featured a total of 26 times, on the first and third Fridays and the second and fourth Saturdays of each month.
In addition to the Luna Show, the Musical Fountain?composed solely of fountain, sound, and lighting effects without lasers or video?will be performed four times daily from Wednesday to Sunday each week. This year, the city plans to utilize ChatGPT technology at the Luna Fountain to create a variety of combinations where music, fountains, and lighting are harmoniously integrated.
On May 5, Children's Day, the city will offer a special program featuring the "New Luna Show" and the newly introduced musical fountain "Saekomdalkom Tiniping," so that the entire family can enjoy the festivities together.
