On April 24, Damyang County in Jeonnam held a progress report meeting chaired by Deputy County Governor Jeong Gwangseon to prepare for the '2026 Government Joint Evaluation (based on 2025 performance)'.
The Government Joint Evaluation is a system that comprehensively evaluates delegated national administrative tasks, government-subsidized projects, and local government policies carried out by local governments in cooperation with central administrative agencies, in accordance with the 'Framework Act on Government Performance Evaluation,' to enhance the efficiency of national administration. This year, a total of 91 indicators will be evaluated, consisting of 77 quantitative indicators and 14 qualitative indicators.
At the meeting, the county discussed the analysis of issues related to underperforming indicators and measures to improve performance, with the aim of being selected as an exemplary city or county within the province.
Deputy County Governor Jeong Gwangseon emphasized, "Since the Government Joint Evaluation is an external assessment of the policy implementation and administrative capabilities of cities and counties, I ask not only the responsible departments but all departments to take responsibility and actively work to improve performance in order to achieve our goals."
