Gwangyang FEZ Authority Engages in Investment Promotion with Japanese Precision Materials Companies

Investment Discussions with Precision Parts Manufacturers in Nagoya, Japan

The Gwangyang Free Economic Zone Authority (headed by Koo Choongon, hereafter Gwangyang FEZ Authority) announced on the 24th that on the previous day, the organization visited two companies in Nagoya, Japan: Ito Precision, which manufactures high-precision parts used in the semiconductor, automotive, and factory automation sectors, and Elephantech, the world’s first company to launch metal inkjet printing technology. The visits were conducted to discuss potential investment cooperation.


Ito Precision is a company specializing in precision cutting and the manufacturing of semiconductor and factory automation parts. In April 2023, it was selected for the third consecutive year as an excellent small and medium-sized enterprise by Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. The company is currently seeking a joint venture partner for entry into the Korean market.

Elephantech is a manufacturer of flexible printed circuit boards (FPCB) and is the first company in the world to successfully manufacture PCBs using metal inkjet printing. It is currently collaborating with Korea’s LG Display and Hyundai Motor Company.


Koo Choongon, head of the Gwangyang FEZ Authority, invited the visited companies to come to the Gwangyang Free Economic Zone for on-site inspections and stated, “I hope that these two companies, which possess outstanding technological competitiveness, will achieve great success in the global market by collaborating with related domestic companies.” He also added, “If requested by the companies, we will provide information on related domestic firms and do our utmost to offer administrative support related to investment.”
