[Conference Call] SK Hynix: "HBM Demand to Grow at an Average Annual Rate of 50% Through 2028"

On April 24, during its 2025 first-quarter earnings conference call, SK Hynix addressed the outlook for high-bandwidth memory (HBM) demand, stating, "Although there are uncertainties going forward, global companies continue to expand their investments in artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure, and not only corporations but also individual countries are increasing efforts to build their own AI ecosystems. Therefore, we see no doubt regarding the long-term growth in demand for HBM."

The company added, "Based on current demand visibility, SK Hynix expects HBM demand to grow at an average annual rate of about 50% from 2024 to 2028. Next year, the sixth-generation HBM (HBM4) will be our main product, and we plan to secure volume visibility with major customers within the first half of the year, after which we will finalize contracts with other customers as well."
