Jeonbuk Province to Hold 'Hometown Love Donation Event' for Family Month in May

According to the province on April 24, this event has been organized to increase interest and participation in the Hometown Love Donation Program and to promote a healthy donation culture that contributes to regional development.

Donors who contribute at least 100,000 won to the Jeonbuk Provincial Government and complete the application for a return gift will be automatically entered into the event. The first 150 participants will be selected to receive additional prizes of popular Jeonbuk local specialties. The winners will be announced on June 4 through a notice on the Hometown Love eum website and individual contact. The prizes will include highly popular items among the Hometown Love Donation return gifts, such as peanuts, fresh sesame oil, and natural broth pack sets.

The Hometown Love Donation Program allows individuals to donate up to 20 million won annually to local governments other than their own place of residence. Donations up to 100,000 won are fully deductible, and amounts exceeding that are eligible for a 16.5% tax credit. In addition, donors can receive return gifts such as local specialties and tourism products within 30% of the donation amount.

Hometown Love donations can be made online through the Hometown Love eum website, bank apps (Kookmin, IBK, Shinhan, Hana, NongHyup), and ActiBook (Nolgofarm). Offline donations are also possible at NongHyup Bank and agricultural cooperative branches nationwide.

Baek Kyungtae, Director of External and International Communication for the province, stated, "We hope that this event will encourage many voluntary donations from donors and help vitalize the Hometown Love Donation Program," adding, "We will actively work to revitalize the region and promote balanced development through the Hometown Love Donation Program."
