First Public Medical Institution Opens in Gumi... Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service Gumi Clinic Offers Rehabilitation Services for Industrial Accident Patients and Residents

Severe Cases to Be Referred to Daegu Hospital of the Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service

The first public medical institution has opened in Gumi, North Gyeongsang Province.

Daegu Hospital of the Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service (Director: Lee Neunggyo) officially opened the Gumi Clinic of the Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service in Gumi on April 23, and began operating its outpatient rehabilitation center in earnest.

The Gumi Clinic, serving as the outpatient rehabilitation center of Daegu Hospital, will provide customized, specialized rehabilitation treatment services for industrial accident workers, local residents, and medically underserved populations.

The Gumi Clinic is located on Indonggasan-ro in Gumi, North Gyeongsang Province, and covers a total area of 1,081 square meters (327 pyeong). It is equipped with consultation rooms, an intensive rehabilitation treatment room, an occupational therapy room, and a work capacity assessment room. The medical staff consists of experienced rehabilitation medicine specialists, nurses, and physical therapists.

Key services include one-on-one specialized rehabilitation treatment for industrial accident patients, customized professional rehabilitation programs, psychological rehabilitation therapy, return-to-work programs, and special examinations for work-relatedness. For industrial accident workers preparing to return to work, the clinic will provide programs to improve physical function and enhance work capacity. In cases requiring intensive treatment, the clinic will offer coordinated services with Daegu Hospital.
