Special Promotions for 120 Employees in the First Half of the Year
Support for Outstanding Office Heads
Kang TaeYoung, President of NH NongHyup Bank, will implement a comprehensive overhaul of the personnel system on April 24 to establish a performance-oriented organizational culture.
The new measures focus on encouraging employees' voluntary business initiatives and include bold rewards for outstanding employees, support for re-engagement of excellent office heads who have taken honorary retirement, and strengthening data-driven performance evaluations.
As a reward for top performers, approximately 120 employees who achieved the best results in non-interest business sectors such as investment securities, bancassurance, and digital finance, as well as in the foreign exchange sector during the first half of the year, will receive special promotions. At the end-of-year regular personnel review, the special promotion system, which was previously limited to the Best Banker and loan sectors, will be expanded and subdivided to include wealth management (WM), digital finance, debt management, and foreign exchange.

Regarding support for the re-engagement of excellent office heads who have taken honorary retirement, those with outstanding performance will be given opportunities to continue working. Various morale-boosting measures will also be implemented, such as providing incentives based on business performance during the year of honorary retirement.
To strengthen data-driven performance evaluations, quantitative indicators will be introduced as criteria for promotion reviews. When appointing department heads at the central headquarters and office heads at branches, a data-based evaluation system, including performance and competency evaluations, will be adopted. Through these changes, the bank aims to create an environment where anyone who delivers results receives appropriate recognition.
Kang TaeYoung stated, "Through performance-oriented personnel innovation, we will enhance our human resource competitiveness and increase fairness and transparency by implementing comprehensive quantitative evaluations." He added, "I expect that a performance-based HR culture within the organization will also contribute to internal control and the prevention of financial accidents."
