"Gift Andong" ... Andong City Hosts 4th Travel Souvenir Contest

"Souvenirs Embodying Andong
Will Be Created by Your Hands!"

Andong City in North Gyeongsang Province and the Korea Spirit and Culture Foundation are hosting the "Gift Andong! The 4th Andong Travel Souvenir Contest" to enhance the brand value of Andong as a key tourism city and to discover souvenirs that represent the region.

This contest will run for 68 days from April 21 to June 27, 2025. Entries will be accepted for five days, from June 23 to June 27. The contest categories include: ▲ practical souvenirs that can represent Andong ▲ local specialty and cultural motif products with a modern touch ▲ goods linked to festivals and year-round tourism content.

Any citizen of the Republic of Korea is eligible to participate. A total of 20 works, including the Grand Prize, Gold Prize, and Silver Prize, will be selected through a two-stage process: an initial online public review, followed by an expert evaluation.

The selected souvenirs will receive support for distribution and sales through pop-up stores and tourism product shops. In particular, winners will have the opportunity to be featured in the Yekki Store pop-up, and ongoing sales promotion activities will help commercialize the souvenirs and facilitate their entry into the market.

A city official stated, "We hope this contest will uncover creative souvenirs that capture the history and culture of Andong," adding, "We will provide active support to ensure that outstanding souvenirs contribute to enhancing the region's tourism competitiveness."
