Gumi Office of Education Holds Training on Using 'Readingro' System

Enhancing Creativity and Fostering Sound Character Through Reading Education

The Gumi Office of Education in Gyeongsangbuk-do recently conducted a training session on the use of the 'Readingro' system for teachers in charge of reading education at elementary, middle, and high schools within its jurisdiction. The session was held in the information education room of the Office of Education.

The training, which took place on April 21, was focused on practical exercises. It was organized into small groups of around 25 participants and is scheduled to be held a total of four times, every Monday and Tuesday, from April 21 to April 29.


The 'Readingro' system is a school library information management system operated through the collaboration of 17 metropolitan and provincial offices of education. It is a program designed to help students who are familiar with digital media to read books and participate in a variety of online post-reading activities.


Through this system, students are offered opportunities to increase their interest in reading and to develop creativity and character through reading activities.


This training is hosted by the Dagam School Support Center of the Gumi Office of Education, and is intended to promote reading education and help staff members better understand their roles.


Teacher A, who participated in the training, commented, "Through this training, I hope to help students approach reading in an enjoyable way and to contribute to fostering creativity and sound character through reading education."
