Scheduled to Meet Leading Figures in Korean Business Community
Donald Trump Jr., the eldest son of U.S. President Donald Trump, will visit South Korea next week. The trip has been arranged by Chung Yongjin, chairman of Shinsegae Group, who is known to have a close personal relationship with Trump Jr.

A Shinsegae Group official stated on the 23rd, "Trump Jr. will visit Korea next week at the invitation of Chairman Chung and is scheduled to meet with key figures in the Korean business community," adding, "The specific schedule and details about whom he will meet are still being coordinated."
This visit is taking place at the request of Korean business leaders, who asked Chairman Chung?who has a strong personal relationship with Trump Jr.?to act as a bridge for communication with the Trump administration. This will be Trump Jr.'s first visit to Korea since the launch of the second Trump administration.
Chairman Chung and Trump Jr. share a particularly close relationship. Both are Protestants, and they are known to have a special religious connection as well. Previously, in December of last year, Chairman Chung visited Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, the residence of President Trump, at the invitation of Trump Jr. During this visit, Chung met with President Trump, who was then President-elect. In addition, Chung visited Washington last January for President Trump’s inauguration, where, through the arrangement of Trump Jr., he met with prominent figures in American political and government circles.
