Kang Yoojung, spokesperson for the Lee Jaemyung campaign, stated that during the meeting, opinions were exchanged on major issues facing South Korea and the United States, including tariffs, security, and North Korea-related matters.


Lee Jaemyung stated that, based on the strong South Korea-U.S. alliance, mutual trust in South Korea-Japan cooperation and South Korea-U.S.-Japan cooperation can be further solidified, enabling the two countries to address various issues effectively.


John Hamre expressed his hope that South Korea will play a role on the global stage, and Lee Jaemyung responded that he is incorporating ways for South Korea to contribute globally into his policy initiatives.
