The Korean Buddhist Jogye Order announced on the 23rd that Supreme Patriarch Seongpa of the Jogye Order delivered a Buddha's Birthday message, stating, "If you live your life with the Buddha's perspective, a lotus will bloom with every step you take, and every action you perform becomes an inexhaustible Dharma teaching."

On this day, ahead of Buddha's Birthday in the Buddhist year 2569 (2025) which falls on May 5, Seongpa publicly shared his congratulatory Dharma message. He taught, "The sound of birds and the wind becomes the finest music, drifting clouds become beautiful paintings, and each wildflower transforms into a magnificent Dharma assembly that conveys inexhaustible teachings."

He conveyed the teachings of Shakyamuni, stating, "In the Avatamsaka Sutra, the very first sermon, it is said that 'the mind, the Buddha, and sentient beings are not different.' The Buddha taught that everyone is originally a Buddha and encouraged us to live as our original Buddha nature."

He further encouraged, "If we all recognize and make good use of this dignity, everyone can lead a happy life, and we can transform this land into a paradise."

Seongpa emphasized, "A true Buddhist, whom the Buddha praises and the deities and Dharma-protecting spirits extol, is one who vows to become a Bodhisattva of great resolve who is not deceived by any illusion and does not turn away from a single sentient being."
