The donation ceremony, held on the 22nd at the KB Securities headquarters in Yeouido, was attended by Kim Sunghyun, CEO of KB Securities, Jung Ikjung, President of the Child Rights Protection Agency, and other related officials, who shared the meaningful spirit of giving.

'Pregnant women in crisis' refers to expectant mothers who face difficulties in childbirth and childcare due to economic or physical hardships, unexpected pregnancies, or social prejudice. To ensure their safe delivery and child protection, the government enacted the 'Crisis Pregnancy Protection and Childbirth Act' on October 31, 2023, which has been in effect since July 19 of the previous year.

In an effort to address the low birth rate, KB Securities has maintained ongoing collaboration with the Child Rights Protection Agency and 16 regional counseling centers nationwide since the early implementation of the Crisis Pregnancy Protection and Childbirth Act. In October last year, to mark Pregnant Women's Day, the company provided 100 'Kkaebi Securities Hope Strollers' to pregnant women in crisis.

This year, after discussions with the Child Rights Protection Agency and 16 regional counseling centers nationwide, KB Securities aims to offer more practical and effective support to pregnant women in crisis through the donation. The funds will be used for emergency living expenses such as livelihood, housing, and medical costs that may arise during counseling, as well as for expenses needed for childcare and care after childbirth.

Kim Sunghyun, CEO of KB Securities, stated, "Childbirth and child-rearing are not personal matters but responsibilities of our society for the future. I hope that support for pregnant women in crisis will further raise social awareness about the low birth rate, and KB Securities will continue to fulfill its corporate social responsibility by seeking out areas in our society that need help."

With the goal of strengthening ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management, KB Securities is deeply committed to society as a whole and is conducting various social contribution projects to realize the value of 'care.' To address birth issues and promote childbirth, the company has supported the 'Hangang Outdoor Wedding' for socially vulnerable couples since 2023, and has been hosting the 'Happy Ddukddak Kkaebi Securities Green Camping' for multicultural and low-income families for four consecutive years. In addition, since 2009, KB Securities has continuously run the domestic and overseas Rainbow Classroom project to nurture future generations, and has also carried out the 'Happy Ddukddak Medical Volunteer Service' to help bridge the medical gap between urban and rural areas.
