Invitation of Professor Yoo Youngman from Hanyang University
The Gwangju Employers Federation announced on April 23 that it will host a special lecture for the 1683rd Friday Breakfast Forum on April 25, inviting knowledge ecologist Professor Yoo Youngman of Hanyang University to speak on the topic, "My Growth Map Does Not Exist on Someone Else's Success Map."
Professor Yoo Youngman is currently an outside director at Megastudy and previously served as an outside director at POSCO Research Institute. He is also the director of the Scent of Thought Cultural Center and a member of the Human Resources Innovation Advisory Group. He has published numerous books, including "Do Not Meet People Like This," "Knowledge Ecology," "Courage," and "Win with Curves."
This lecture will cover, in the prologue, the conception of conatus, labor pains and birth; developing methods instead of just following the rules, nurturing and growth; focusing on branding rather than marketing; and in the epilogue, not following but venerating the path. Through these topics, the lecture is expected to emphasize the importance of community leadership to attendees.
Yang Jinseok, chairman of the Gwangju Employers Federation, stated, "In times of crisis, such as the tariff war under the second Trump administration and the possibility of an early presidential election in Korea, it is important to maintain a creative approach to life. I hope this lecture will serve as a valuable branding opportunity for member companies to break fixed ideas and stimulate creative thinking in the face of domestic and global economic crises."
