Briefing Held in Shenzhen, China with Participation from Over 130 Companies
Recruitment of Domestic Funding Partners to Collaborate with Chinese Makers

Wadiz, a funding store platform, announced on April 23 that it has successfully held a 'Korea Entry Funding Briefing' for local tech-based innovative companies in Nanshan, Shenzhen, China.

This event was organized to introduce strategies for entering the Korean market using the global crowdfunding platform 'Wadiz' to startups and technology innovation companies in Shenzhen, China.

The event was attended by 130 promising Chinese companies from various fields, including hardware tech firms, demonstrating high interest in entering the Korean market. Wadiz initially prepared the event for about 100 companies, but expanded the number of participants after early registration closed ahead of schedule.

Recently, due to the impact of uncertain international tariffs, Chinese companies have been seeking new overseas expansion channels. In particular, Korean crowdfunding is attracting attention from many Chinese tech companies as a testbed channel, as it allows them to quickly gauge consumer response before official product launches.

The briefing introduced the characteristics of the Korean market and Wadiz's plans for launching global services. It also shared cases of Chinese hardware startups that have successfully entered the Korean market through Wadiz.

A representative example is the global robot vacuum cleaner brand 'Roborock,' which raised approximately 310 million KRW through Wadiz funding in December 2021.

More recently, 'Hover,' which introduced the AI flying camera 'Gimbal Drone,' achieved 200 million KRW in funding within a day of opening, and Shenzhen-based maker 'Laser Pecker' succeeded in raising 1 billion KRW for its laser engraving products.

Going forward, Wadiz plans to recruit domestic funding operators to collaborate with local Chinese makers and funding agencies. Those selected as official global partners of Wadiz will play a role in supporting outstanding Chinese makers in entering and establishing themselves in the Korean market.

Seomubin, head of the Wadiz Connect Team, stated, "Through this event, I am convinced that Chinese companies are focusing on Korea as a new overseas expansion route," and added, "We will continue to expand our role as a 'cross-border' platform that supports global innovative companies in entering the world market."
