First-Ever Highest Innovation Award Win
Wide Range of Products: Refrigerators, Washing Machines, Dryers, and More
LG Electronics won 35 awards at the Red Dot Design Award, one of the world's top three design competitions, for products including the world's first wireless and transparent TV and a mobile artificial intelligence (AI) home hub.
On April 23, LG Electronics announced that it had received 35 awards at the Red Dot Design Award, one of the world's top three design competitions, including the top prize and the highest innovation award.
The Red Dot Design Award is considered one of the world's top three design awards, alongside the iF Design Award and IDEA. LG Electronics previously won a total of 36 awards at the recently held iF Design Award 2025, and with its large haul at the Red Dot Design Award, has once again demonstrated its global design competitiveness.
The LG Signature OLED (organic light-emitting diode) T, the world's first wireless and transparent TV, received the top prize. The LG Signature OLED T is an OLED TV that allows users to switch between 'black screen' and 'transparent screen' modes with a remote control.
In black screen mode, users can enjoy content with the overwhelming picture quality of a 77-inch (diagonal length approximately 196 cm), 4K (3840×2160) OLED display. In transparent screen mode, the space behind the screen is visible, offering a differentiated visual experience unique to transparent screens, such as augmented reality.
This product features a true wireless audio-visual (AV) transmission solution that delivers 4K, 144Hz video without loss or delay, creating a cleaner indoor space and enhancing viewing immersion. Peripheral devices such as game consoles and set-top boxes, which were previously connected to the TV itself, can now be connected to a separate 'Zero Connect Box.'
The mobile AI home hub, which moves around and interacts with users, won both the highest innovation award and a main award. This product features the empathetic intelligence agent LG Purron, which understands people and creates a convenient living environment by controlling home appliances and more.
In particular, it was awarded the highest innovation award in recognition of its excellence as a smart space platform. This is the first time LG Electronics has received the highest innovation award, in addition to the innovation award, at the Red Dot Award. The product was also praised for its friendly design, which allows it to communicate with customers using a variety of facial expressions.
In addition, a total of 33 main awards were given to a wide range of LG Electronics' signature product lines, including refrigerators, washing machines, dryers, TVs, air conditioners, air purifiers, audio devices, monitors, and commercial robots.
The 'LG StanbyME 2', which allows the screen to be easily detached from the stand for flexible use, and the 'LG Signature Smart InstaView', which uses transparent OLED technology to let users see inside the refrigerator without opening the door, both received awards following their recognition at the iF Design Award 2025.
Jung Wookjun, head of LG Electronics' Design Management Center, said, "We will continue to strengthen our globally recognized design competitiveness with innovative designs that take customers' lifestyles into account."
