Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance and Safe Exit Warning Applied
Base Trim Price Remains Unchanged
On April 23, Hyundai Motor Company announced the launch of the new compact SUV, the 2025 Kona, which features an expanded list of standard convenience features. The new H-Pick trim has been added, and standard convenience features have been increased for each trim level, while price increases have been kept to a minimum.
The H-Pick trim, based on the existing Modern Plus trim, comes standard with safety and convenience features such as Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist, Safe Exit Warning, and a roof rack.
The Premium trim is equipped with standard features including a Smart Power Tailgate, wireless smartphone charging, Digital Key 2 Touch, touch-type outside door handles, first-row door pocket lighting, Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist, and Safe Exit Warning. The top-tier Inspiration trim has been upgraded with enhanced interior materials for the door trim and open tray, adding a more premium feel.
Package options such as Parking Assist and Convenience, which were previously available mainly on higher trims, are now also offered on the H-Pick trim, providing customers with a wider range of choices.
In particular, Hyundai Motor Company explained that the price of the base Modern trim remains unchanged, while price increases for the mid- and upper-level trims have been minimized.
The retail prices for the 1.6 gasoline turbo model are as follows: Modern at 24,780,000 KRW, H-Pick at 25,590,000 KRW, Premium at 28,210,000 KRW, and Inspiration at 31,020,000 KRW. For the 2.0 gasoline model: Modern at 24,090,000 KRW, H-Pick at 24,990,000 KRW, Premium at 27,530,000 KRW, and Inspiration at 30,340,000 KRW.
The 1.6 turbo hybrid model (reflecting tax benefits) is priced at: Modern at 29,550,000 KRW, H-Pick at 30,460,000 KRW, Premium at 32,540,000 KRW, and Inspiration at 35,120,000 KRW.
A Hyundai Motor Company representative stated, "By adding the H-Pick trim, which offers essential features at a reasonable price, and expanding the availability of convenience features, we have enhanced the overall competitiveness of the product. We invite customers to experience the new Kona, which returns with improved features and reasonable pricing."
