A 15 km seaside bike path connecting Wolgot Port and Turtle Island in Siheung City, Gyeonggi Province, will be constructed.
On April 23, Siheung City announced that its bike path construction project, which includes this plan, was selected for the "Regional Bicycle Tourism Promotion Contest" organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, securing 140 million won in national funding.

With this selection, the city plans to create a bike travel route linked to the island's tourism resources. Under the theme of "Activation of the Haerotoro 30,000 Road," the bike path will connect Wolgot Port, Baegot New Town, Oido, and Turtle Island over a distance of 15 km.
The bike path will feature various facilities, including racks, guide signs, rest areas, and photo zones. In particular, the city plans to expand the bike path into experiential and tourism programs in connection with the complex marine leisure tourism district being developed in the Turtle Island area.
Taking this project as an opportunity, the city intends to gradually expand a variety of content so that bicycles can become not just a means of transportation, but an emotional way to experience the city's landscape.
No Junggon, head of the Tourism Division of Siheung City, said, "The coastal path, which connects the atmosphere of Wolgot, the urban sensibility of Baegot, the sunset of Oido, and the blue vistas of Turtle Island, is a unique asset of Siheung. We will create a bike travel route that citizens and tourists alike will want to walk, ride, and linger on."
