Hwanjung Kim, Chairman of Samnok, has been awarded an honorary doctorate in Business Administration from Dongmyung University (President Lee Sangcheon).
On April 22, Dongmyung University conferred the honorary doctorate in Business Administration to Chairman Hwanjung Kim at the university headquarters.

Chairman Hwanjung Kim stated, "I was greatly attracted to the core values of Dongmyung University, a prestigious institution renowned for practical industry-academic education that fosters student success, such as 'Change Up with Do-ing.' I will do my utmost to help Dongmyung University in Korea leap forward as a global university."
Chairman Kim is a model business leader who founded Samnok, a ship equipment and logistics company, and has led the development of Korea's maritime, shipbuilding, and plant logistics industries.
By introducing and expanding an ESG management system based on environmental safety governance, he has demonstrated innovative leadership and practical skills, not only strengthening industrial competitiveness but also spearheading cooperation for regional economic growth. His achievements include reaching $20 million in export volume, receiving the Gold Tower Order of Industrial Service Merit, and achieving a fourfold record of zero industrial accidents.
Chairman Kim continues his commitment to genuine service and sharing, based on the values of respect, consideration, equality, human rights, and volunteerism. He has served as Chairman of the Geoje Chamber of Commerce and Industry (9th and 10th terms), Chairman of the Geoje Citizens Sports Association (1st and 2nd terms), Chairman of the Ministry of Justice Youth Crime Prevention Council, Chairman of the Geoje City Athletics Federation, and as a board member of the Geoje Hope Welfare Foundation.
