DB Insurance Donates 64.85 Million KRW to Children of Fallen Firefighters

50,000 KRW Accumulated for Each Birdie

DB Insurance announced on the 23rd that it held a donation ceremony for the 'DB Insurance Promise Open Love Birdie' at La Vie Belle CC in Chuncheon, Gangwon, on the 20th.

As the tournament organizer, DB Insurance conducted a sharing event during the KPGA Tour season opener, the Promise Open, held from the 17th to the 20th at the Old Course of La Vie Belle CC. For each birdie made by participating players, 50,000 KRW was accumulated. In this tournament, a total of 1,297 birdies were recorded, raising a donation amount of 64,850,000 KRW. DB Insurance covered the entire amount of the accumulated donation.

The donations collected from the tournament were delivered to the Firefighter Family Hope Sharing. The funds will be used as scholarships to support the education of children of firefighters who died in the line of duty.

The Love Birdie event is a social contribution activity that practices sharing together with the players participating in the golf tournament. Starting with 57 million KRW in support for victims of the Namyang-dong gas fire explosion in Samcheok in 2012, a total of 867,050,000 KRW has been returned to society over the past 14 years.
