Woman in Her 60s Dies After Knife Attack Near Mia Station in Seoul

Transported to Hospital in Cardiac Arrest
But Ultimately Passed Away

A woman in her 60s, who was injured by a knife wielded by a man in his 30s wearing hospital clothing near Mia Station in Seoul, was transported to the hospital in cardiac arrest but ultimately died.


On April 22, the Seoul Gangbuk Police Station announced that woman B, in her 60s, who was stabbed by a knife wielded by man A, had died.


At around 6:20 p.m. that evening, A wielded a knife near a mart close to Mia Station in Gangbuk-gu, Seoul, injuring woman C, in her 40s, and B. B was transported to the hospital in cardiac arrest, while C sustained minor injuries and is receiving treatment.


The police arrested A immediately after the incident on suspicion of attempted murder and are investigating the circumstances of the case. It was reported that A was wearing hospital clothing at the time of the crime.
