OrderToHome is a direct delivery service that minimizes distribution stages by delivering fresh products ordered by customers on the Emart app directly from the production region to their homes. The main features of OrderToHome are its specialization in fresh products available in medium and large quantities, and its direct delivery service. Building on the trust customers have in fresh products at offline Emart stores, Emart has expanded its delivery service to the app.

Recently, there has been growing interest in ‘direct transactions with farmers,’ a model in which agricultural products are delivered directly through direct deals with producers. In particular, customers in their twenties and younger are showing interest in conveniently purchasing products via social media while also engaging with the stories of the farmers who grew them.

In response, Emart has introduced the service for about 50 types of fresh products whose quality can be managed by buyers. The service is primarily applied to ‘ultra-fresh’ items that are available for a limited time. These include popular seasonal products such as live domestic webfoot octopus (spring), plums (summer), wild pine mushrooms (autumn), and oysters (winter). Since these items quickly lose freshness, the service is expected to meet the needs of customers who prefer direct delivery from the production region.

Customers can view products at Emart offline stores and purchase medium and large quantities of those items through OrderToHome by scanning the in-store QR code notices.

Gwak Daehwan, Executive Director of Agricultural Products at Emart, emphasized, “The ‘OrderToHome’ service is a true omnichannel service that maximizes customer convenience on top of Emart’s strong advantage in offline fresh products.”
