Gyeonggi Province opened the 'Gyeonggi Business Center (GBC)' in Jakarta, Indonesia, on the 22nd.
Gyeonggi Province explained that, in order to diversify exports, it has officially opened the Jakarta GBC as an offline hub, expanding from its previous operation as a digital platform. The aim is to accelerate entry into the ASEAN market and support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) within the province.
The Jakarta GBC is located in the Sudirman area, the financial and economic center of Indonesia, providing excellent networking opportunities with local buyers and strong market accessibility.
In addition, the center plans to focus on minimizing overseas expansion risks for companies by offering consulting services tailored to the local market, as well as legal and financial advisory support.
On the same day, the Gyeonggi Economic Science Promotion Agency agreed to establish a support system with the Jakarta Chamber of Commerce and Industry to strengthen cooperation in discovering promising buyers, providing market information, and enhancing administrative support for local logistics and customs clearance systems.
Furthermore, GBC Jakarta will collaborate with the Indonesian Construction Association to provide specialized marketing support for companies in the province.

On this day, Gyeonggi Province also shared essential information related to HALAL certification, BPOM (Indonesia's National Agency of Drug and Food Control), and SNI (National Standardization), which are crucial for entering the local market. More than 30 domestic companies participated and held practical consultations.
Park Kyungseo, Director of International Trade at Gyeonggi Province, stated, "Jakarta GBC is an important bridgehead for entering the Indonesian market, which has a population of 280 million." He added, "With the opening of this center, we will proactively respond to the protectionist policies of a potential second Trump administration and support tangible results for local companies by diversifying export markets."
Meanwhile, Gyeonggi Province will expand its overseas export bases to 25 locations this year. Following new GBCs in Vancouver, Canada; Dubai, United Arab Emirates; and Frankfurt, Germany, in the first half of the year, six additional GBCs will be established in the second half in Warsaw, Poland; Dallas, United States; and Santiago, Chile, among others. With these six new centers, a total of 25 GBCs will be operating in 19 countries worldwide by the end of this year.
