Apply to the Scholarship Office with Required Documents by August 14
Dankook University announced on April 22 that it will provide a special presidential scholarship of 1 million won per student to enrolled students who have been affected by the recent large-scale wildfires.
This scholarship has been established to help students continue their studies and to alleviate their financial burdens.
The scholarship will be awarded to students currently enrolled who reside in the areas declared as special disaster zones: Ulju-gun, Uiseong-gun, Andong-si, Cheongsong-gun, Yeongyang-gun, Yeongdeok-gun, Sancheong-gun, and Hadong-gun.
Students wishing to apply must visit their campus scholarship office by August 14 with a certificate of damage issued by the local administrative welfare center and a certificate of family relations.
President Ahn Sooncheol stated, "I hope this scholarship will provide some comfort and hope to students who are experiencing difficulties due to the unexpected wildfires," adding, "We will continue to provide attentive support so that students can focus on their studies."
Meanwhile, Dankook University also provided a total of 14 million won in special scholarships to students affected by the Pohang earthquake in 2017.
