91% of Office Workers Recognize ChatGPT Skills
JobPlanet Survey of 762 Employees on ChatGPT Usage
Seven out of ten office workers said they use ChatGPT daily.
On April 22, career platform JobPlanet released the results of a survey on "ChatGPT usage experience," conducted with 762 office workers.
When asked whether ChatGPT use is permitted at their current workplace, 93.7% responded that it is allowed for work purposes. Among them, 82.7% said they use ChatGPT naturally without concern, while 17.3% reported that they still feel self-conscious when using it.
The main place where ChatGPT is used was found to be the workplace. A total of 78.9% of respondents said they use ChatGPT more frequently at work than in their daily lives. Only 21.1% said they use it more in their personal lives.
The most common way ChatGPT is used at work is for "writing or generating summaries" (40.1%). This was followed by idea planning and information search (28.4%), technical tasks such as code generation (24.8%), and checking how to use unfamiliar tools (4.7%).
Perceptions of colleagues who actively use AI were also found to be positive. 91.1% of respondents answered that "being proficient in AI is also part of job competency." This suggests that the ability to efficiently use AI tools is now recognized as a practical job skill.
Meanwhile, when asked whether they feel their jobs are threatened by AI, 57.6% said they "do not feel threatened." Despite the accelerating pace of technological advancement, the majority of office workers appear to be embracing AI as a tool to strengthen their own capabilities.
