Soonchunhyang University Hospital Prepares for New Building Opening with Simulation Drills

Soonchunhyang University Cheonan Hospital announced on April 22 that it has begun preparations ahead of the opening of its new hospital building.

The new hospital, located on a 45,300-square-meter site adjacent to the current facility, will have five underground floors, 15 above-ground floors, and a capacity of 1,000 beds. It is scheduled to open on May 7.

To ensure that patients do not experience any inconvenience when using the hospital, the hospital is conducting weekly simulation drills every Friday to review all aspects of operations, including medical consultations, examinations, treatments, and payment processes.

Staff members are checking movement routes and equipment in outpatient clinics, the emergency room, inpatient wards, and operating rooms. Any errors or areas for improvement identified during these checks are being addressed by the relevant departments.

Hospital Director Lee Moonsu stated, "Through repeated simulation drills, we are making improvements to ensure that patients and their families do not experience any inconvenience when using the hospital," adding, "We will do our utmost to provide the highest quality medical services through a successful opening and stable operation."
