Sangdu Kim, Secretary General of Chungnam Disabled Sports Association, is receiving a certificate of appointment from Taeheum Kim, Governor of Chungnam.
Sangdu Kim (Ph.D. in Physical Education) has been appointed as the 8th Secretary General of the Chungnam Disabled Sports Association.
On the morning of April 21, the Chungnam Disabled Sports Association announced that the newly appointed Secretary General, Sangdu Kim, received his certificate of appointment from Taeheum Kim, Governor of Chungnam and President of the Association, and officially began his duties.
The appointment of the Secretary General was made through a nationwide open recruitment process. Starting with the convening of the personnel committee, the selection involved a document review, interview screening, and approval by the board of directors, ensuring a fair and transparent procedure before the final appointment.
Sangdu Kim, the 8th Secretary General, graduated from the Department of Physical Education at Chungnam National University and obtained a Ph.D. in Physical Education from Korea National Sport University. He served as a professor in the Department of Adapted Physical Education at Joongbu University for 28 years, dedicating himself to education and research in the fields of sports for the disabled and adapted physical education.
Secretary General Kim has also played a leading role in organizational management and policy development, having served as a board member during the 3rd and 4th terms of the Chungnam Disabled Sports Association.
The newly appointed Secretary General, Sangdu Kim, stated, "I will prioritize the sustainable growth of the Chungnam Disabled Sports Association and the improvement of quality of life for people with disabilities in the province, and I will strive to provide diverse support and communication so that everyone can enjoy a healthy life through sports."
