Customized Consulting in Curriculum, Instruction, Assessment, and Reading Education
Number of Sessions More Than Doubled Compared to 2023
The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Kim Seokjun) is providing on-site, face-to-face customized consulting for all elementary school teachers who wish to participate.
This first semester’s elementary consulting program will continue until July, offering one-on-one customized consulting between interested teachers and consultants in four areas: curriculum, instruction, assessment, and reading education.
The consultants, who are experts in each field?including members of the Busan Elementary Education Field Support Team, master teachers, principals, and vice principals?plan to actively support teachers’ voluntary lesson research through on-site, face-to-face consulting.
In addition, in collaboration with the Korea Institute for Curriculum and Evaluation, consulting will be provided for the “2025 Student Agency-Based Lesson Innovation Case Study Competition.” The program will explore various research topics, including inquiry-based lessons, lessons utilizing AI and digital tools, and student agency-based project learning, to seek out innovative approaches to instruction.
The number of consulting sessions by area has increased to 888, more than double compared to last year. Including 114 sessions for the Lesson Innovation Case Study Competition, the total number of consulting sessions reaches 1,002.
Superintendent Kim Seokjun stated, “A consulting platform where teachers can collaboratively reflect on lessons and actively discuss improvement strategies will be a major driving force for teacher-led lesson innovation in Busan. The city office of education will spare no effort in supporting the enhancement of teachers’ instructional capabilities and the happy growth of students.”
