Representatives from Over 70 Partner Companies Gathered
Discussing Mutual Growth and Establishing a Safety Culture
Consulting Support for Compliance with the Serious Accidents Punishment Act
OCI held a meeting with more than 70 key partner companies, emphasizing 'mutual growth' and 'strengthening safety culture.' At the meeting, Kim Yushin, Vice Chairman and CEO of OCI, stated, "We will create a safer workplace by communicating and cooperating more closely with our partners, and we will realize the value of mutual growth."
On April 18, OCI invited representatives of major partner companies to its factory in Gunsan, Jeonbuk, to host the '2025 Partner Company Safety Meeting.' More than 70 partner company representatives attended, along with about 20 OCI executives and employees, including Vice Chairman Kim and Chief Safety and Health Officer (CSEO) Jung Seungyong. The event included an introduction of support measures for establishing safety and health management systems for partners, a presentation on OCI's key safety management activities, and a special lecture by an external expert.

OCI acknowledged that, since last year, the Serious Accidents Punishment Act has been expanded to apply to workplaces with five or more employees, and partner companies are facing challenges such as a lack of specialized personnel and financial burdens. As a concrete support plan, OCI announced it will provide a 'customized consulting program' involving OCI professionals and external consulting firms. This is intended to help partner companies establish the safety and health management systems required by the Serious Accidents Punishment Act. Starting with about 20 partner companies this year, OCI plans to gradually expand the program to more partners in the future.
To strengthen its mutually beneficial relationship with partner companies, OCI holds a CEO-led partner meeting once every six months each year. Through monthly meetings of the partner council, OCI shares updates and future plans on its safety and health activities and listens to feedback from its partners.
Meanwhile, OCI is also pursuing co-growth with its partners in areas beyond safety and health. To enhance partners' environmental, social, and governance (ESG) capabilities, OCI provides ESG education and consulting, and operates a mutual payment system to help alleviate the financial burden on partner companies.
