DGIST (President Lee Geonwoo), in collaboration with the Korea Brain Research Institute (KBRI), will host the "DGIST-KBRI Promising Commercialization Technology Seminar" at the Korea Invention Promotion Association IP Campus in Seoul for two days from April 22 to 23.

This event is designed to intensively introduce outstanding technologies owned by DGIST and KBRI to companies in the Seoul metropolitan area, and to facilitate practical technology transfer and commercialization cooperation through one-on-one customized consultations with interested companies. Related organizations such as the Korea Technology Finance Corporation (KIBO), patent law firms, and technoparks will also participate, enabling multifaceted discussions on commercialization strategies.

The seminar will be held over two days, with sessions organized by field. On the first day (April 22), there will be presentations and consultations on IT technologies, while the second day (April 23) will focus on BT and other technologies. Fourteen researchers from DGIST and KBRI will participate to conduct in-depth individual consultations with interested companies, and KIBO will introduce its technology finance support programs.

The technology presentations will feature 15 advanced technologies owned by DGIST and KBRI, including autonomous driving robots, artificial intelligence learning data augmentation, vision inspection systems, thermally conductive sheets, and early diagnostic biomarkers for dementia and Alzheimer's disease. Staff from the DGIST Technology Commercialization Team, the KBRI Research Output Dissemination Team, Ebird, TBiz, and the Daegu Research and Development Special Zone, among other partner organizations, will also be on site to provide consultation support.

A representative from DGIST stated, "This seminar is meaningful in that it promotes the external dissemination of promising technologies held by both institutions, while also identifying practical needs and points of contact with companies," adding, "We will continue to pursue an integrated commercialization support model that connects technology discovery with subsequent collaboration."

Meanwhile, DGIST plans to hold regular consultation sessions in the Daegu-Gyeongbuk region in the second half of this year to further promote technology matching and transfer with domestic and international companies.
