Bang Sinshil started the round tied for fifth, two shots behind the leader, and collected seven birdies without a single bogey. She made her first birdie on the 4th hole (par 4), then closed the gap on the leaders with back-to-back birdies on the 9th and 10th holes. She added two more pairs of consecutive birdies on the 14th and 15th holes, and again on the 17th and 18th, climbing to the top of the leaderboard.
