Gyeonggi Agricultural Research and Extension Services to Host Soybean Cooking Contest in June... Applications Open Until the 12th of Next Month

Gyeonggi Province will hold a soybean dish cooking contest in June.


The Gyeonggi-do Agricultural Research and Extension Services announced on April 20 that it will recruit participants for the "3rd Gyeonggi Soybean National Cooking Contest" until the 12th of next month.


This contest is being organized to widely promote the excellence of the new "Gangpungkong" soybean variety developed by the Agricultural Research and Extension Services, and to discover creative cooking recipes. The contest is divided into two categories: university students and the general public aged 19 and older. Participants may enter individually or as a team of two.

The Agricultural Research and Extension Services will conduct a preliminary screening based on written recipes and photos of the dishes, selecting 24 teams?six teams per category?to advance to the finals. The finals for the student division will be held on June 19, and for the general division on June 20.


Winners in the finals, which will take place at Gyeonggi Food Plaza (Gyeonggi SangSang Campus, Seodun-dong, Suwon), will receive a certificate from the governor and a total of 5 million won in prize money.
