Gyeonggi Province participated in 'Dubai Derma 2025,' one of the world's largest beauty exhibitions, together with 11 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from the province, and secured on-site contracts worth $2.63 million.
According to Gyeonggi Province on April 20, the 11 companies supported by the province attended the exhibition held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from April 14 to 16. During the event, they held 914 consultations with global skin beauty buyers. The total value of contracts under negotiation reached 58 cases and $11.37 million (16.7 billion KRW) on a provisional basis. Of these, 13 contracts worth $2.63 million (3.8 billion KRW) were signed on-site.
The Dubai Derma exhibition is a prestigious event showcasing the latest technologies in dermatology and laser medicine. This year, 1,875 brands from 114 countries participated, and more than 25,000 global medical professionals attended.
Gyeonggi Province designated medical devices as a pilot business sector and provided support at this exhibition as one of its key business areas.
The program was conducted as a step-by-step incubation initiative, including exhibition marketing training for both CEOs and staff, visits to outstanding domestic exhibitions, and support for participation in promising overseas exhibitions.
Gyeonggi Province believes that by supporting companies' participation in promising overseas exhibitions, it has helped them directly experience the global market and expand real business opportunities on-site, thereby establishing themselves as self-sustaining export companies.
Park Kyungseo, Director of International Trade at Gyeonggi Province, stated, "Gyeonggi Province is actively implementing various exhibition support programs to respond to the current trade crisis," and added, "We will continue to strengthen the exhibition marketing capabilities of SMEs in the province to generate tangible export results."
