Hampyeong County in Jeonnam is supporting stable farming activities for local farmers by providing tailored, field-oriented technical assistance as the main farming season begins.
According to Hampyeong County on April 19, the Hampyeong County Agricultural Technology Center has organized an Agricultural Field Technology Support Team for this year's farming season and will carry out regular on-site guidance until September, which is the peak farming period.
The Hampyeong Agricultural Technology Center has designated the second and fourth Wednesdays of every month as "On-site Farming Support Days." All 30 staff members will visit farms directly to provide customized technical guidance tailored to each site.
The Technical Support Team will offer specialized consulting for each crop, including: ▲growth management for producing high-quality agricultural products, ▲methods for preventing and controlling pests and diseases, ▲measures for responding to weather-related disasters, and ▲post-harvest quality maintenance techniques. Through these efforts, the team aims to resolve difficulties that farmers face in the field and help ensure stable farming operations.
In particular, to minimize crop damage caused by abnormal weather events such as the recent frequent cold snaps, the team will provide advance guidance on disaster prevention technologies and, in the event of damage, will also conduct prompt on-site inspections and provide emergency recovery support.
County Governor Lee Sangik stated, "We will continue to provide practical, customized farming technology to farmers through proactive, field-oriented guidance administration," adding, "We will actively listen to voices from the field, reflect them in policy, and do our utmost to ensure more systematic support."
