The Gwangju Community Chest of Korea (hereinafter referred to as "Gwangju Sarangui Yeolmae") announced on the 19th that the Gwangju Association of the Visually Impaired (President Choi Samgi, hereinafter referred to as "the Association") recently donated 7.64 million won to help areas affected by wildfires.
The donation ceremony was attended by Choi Samgi, President of the Association, Seo Jaejung, Vice President of the Association, Kim Oksun, Vice President of the Association, Kim Oksun, Vice President of the Gwangju Association of the Visually Impaired, and Park Heungcheol, Secretary General of Gwangju Sarangui Yeolmae. The donated funds will be used for recovery support in wildfire-affected areas and for emergency relief activities for victims.
Choi Samgi, President of the Association, stated, "We hope that the residents affected by the wildfires will be able to overcome their despair and rise again. The funds were raised with the heartfelt support of Gwangju's visually impaired members, executives and staff, and activity support workers."
Park Heungcheol, Secretary General of Gwangju Sarangui Yeolmae, expressed his gratitude, saying, "We deeply appreciate the Association for delivering their warm-hearted support," and added, "We will ensure that the donation provides practical help for the recovery of the daily lives of the affected residents."
