On the afternoon of April 18, Oh Seungrok, Mayor of Nowon District, held a meeting with Han Seung Koh, President of the Korea Biotechnology Industry Organization, in the mayor's office to discuss cooperation measures for the promotion of the "Seoul Digital Bio City (S-DBC)" project.
The Korea Biotechnology Industry Organization is the representative body of the domestic bio industry. It was established in 2008 through the merger of the Korea Biotechnology Research Association (founded in 1982), the Korea Bio Industry Association (founded in 1991), and the Korea Bio Venture Association (founded in 2000). The organization currently has 660 member companies and carries out various activities to promote the development and cooperation of the bio industry.
During the meeting, Mayor Oh Seungrok explained the direction and main plans of the "Seoul Digital Bio City (S-DBC)" project, which is being promoted as a new growth hub in the northeastern region of Seoul. Afterward, they moved to the rooftop terrace of the district office to survey the project site together and exchanged opinions on specific cooperation measures.
