CPR and Integrity Training Conducted
Enhancing Practical Skills and Public Service Ethics
Park Gyosang, Chair of the Gumi City Council in Gyeongbuk, enhanced practical capabilities and public service ethics by conducting CPR training and integrity education for council members and staff during the 286th temporary session.
On April 14, after the first plenary session, participants attended CPR training, where they learned chest compression resuscitation (CPR) and how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED), improving their ability to respond in emergency situations.
Through hands-on training, the Gumi City Council was able to develop practical skills that contribute to protecting the lives of citizens.
On April 18, after the second plenary session, integrity education was held under the supervision of the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission's Integrity Training Institute, covering topics such as the Conflict of Interest Prevention Act, the Improper Solicitation and Graft Act, and the Code of Conduct for Local Council Members.
Participants strengthened their awareness of integrity and gained a practical understanding of relevant laws through lectures on various real-life cases. This is an important part of education aimed at ensuring transparency and fairness in legislative activities.
Park Gyosang stated that this training "provided an opportunity to develop practical skills to protect citizens' lives and further solidify the council's commitment to integrity, aiming to build a more trusted council."
He added, "We will continue to pursue responsible legislative activities through ongoing education in the future."
The Gumi City Council plans to continue promoting various training programs to enhance professionalism and ethical awareness, with the goal of realizing an open, citizen-centered council.
