KimPro Becomes Korea's First YouTube Channel
to Surpass 100 Million Subscribers
On April 18, the YouTube channel 'KimProKIMPRO' made headlines as the first in Korea to surpass 100 million subscribers. It was reported that KimPro officially reached 100 million subscribers the previous day.
Through a post on the YouTube channel, KimPro stated, "It may be hard to believe, but the KimPro channel has reached 100 million subscribers," and added, "Thanks to the members who have been on this journey with me and to the subscribers who watched and supported the videos, I was able to experience this dreamlike moment. I sincerely thank you all."
He continued, "I believe that these numbers represent your time, attention, and laughter," and promised, "I will continue to repay you with even more entertaining and high-quality content."
KimPro is believed to be the first channel in Korea to reach 100 million subscribers. Even among global K-pop stars, there are reportedly no channels with 100 million subscribers. The official BTS YouTube channel has about 80 million subscribers, while the group BLACKPINK is close to 96 million.
KimPro launched the YouTube channel in August 2022 and began uploading videos. It took approximately 2 years and 8 months to reach 100 million subscribers. The channel mainly focuses on Shorts content. KimPro originally started on the short-form video streaming platform TikTok, but later expanded to YouTube as well. To date, the channel has uploaded over 3,100 videos, with a cumulative total of 66,469,000,000 views.
According to estimates from the YouTube channel analysis site 'NoxInfluencer', KimPro is currently ranked 14th in the world. The estimated daily revenue is 687 million KRW, with a monthly revenue of 20.6 billion KRW, and the projected annual revenue reaches an astonishing 250 billion KRW.
